Developed by Bandai and released in 2018, Code Vein is essentially an anime version of Dark Souls. It combines the best action elements with an anime or JRPG feel to it. And, let’s be honest – some fan service to boot.
You’ll find many of the same action mechanics such as backstab, bonfires, parry, etc. along with new mechanics and unique builds, all of which offer a lot of replay value. The story is easy to follow and the game isn’t as frustratingly difficult like DS3 is.
The game features gorgeous graphics and fast-paced action scenes, so you’ll want to make sure you have a laptop or PC that can properly run it. We’ll be going over five of the best gaming laptops to play Code Vein on in this article.

Best Gaming Laptops to Play Code Vein
Since Code Vein is pretty demanding, you’ll ideally have a gaming laptop to run it. Gaming laptops generally have better processors, more RAM, and higher-end graphics cards.
The high-end laptops below will have no problem running Code Vein along with any other games.
Sager is a lesser known laptop brand, but they are quickly becoming one of the premium manufacturers of gaming laptops. One of their biggest selling points is their products are priced at several hundred dollars less than comparable products from competitors.
The NP8977 gaming laptop is no exception. You get very good bang for your buck, with a 6-core 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7 alongside the GeForce RTX 2070 GPU. This combination is good enough to handle the most intensive game on max settings. The screen comes with a 144Hz refresh rate.
The build quality of this laptop is exceptional and very sturdy, despite the fact that it’s so thin (0.78 inches!). The keyboard comes with a Flexikey function and is also RGB backlit.
There’s also no bloatware to speak of and the laptop boots up extremely fast. You definitely won’t have to waste time uninstalling programs.
The only real downside to the Sager NP8977 is the battery life. You can expect about 1 hour on battery if you’re using it for heavy gaming, but that’s expected for most gaming laptops. You’ll probably have this plugged in most of the time anyway.

The ASUS ROG Strix Scar III gaming laptop is the perfect combination of 9th Gen Intel Core processors with GeForce RTX graphics, allowing you to run Code Vein effortlessly.
The laptop also features an impressive 240 Hz refresh rate, meaning you’ll be well above the 60 FPS required to play the game. The high refresh rate will also reduce perceived blur and produce sharper in-game visuals. For a game as visually stunning as Code Vein is, this will make a big difference.
Combined with 16 GB of RAM, 8 GB of Graphics Card RAM, and a GeForce RTX 2060, you’ll be able to run Code Vein or any other game on max settings without hindering performance. The 1 TB of SSD hard drive space ensures you’ll have no problem keeping Code Vein’s hefty 30 gigabytes of storage on disk without a sweat.
In terms of build quality, the Strix Scar III is very sturdy and strong. The keys feel amazing to the touch and feature an RGB backlight. The sound system (Realtek Audio) is also quite good for a laptop and helps provide that immersive sound experience.
The laptop’s cooling system is pretty strong, but if you plan on running games at full setting along with several other processes you may want to get a cooling pad just in case.
Overall, you can’t go wrong with the ASUS ROG Strix Scar III for Code Vein and all your gaming needs.
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 8GB GDDR6 (Base: 1110MHz, Boost: 1335MHz, TDP: 80W)

If you have a bit more of a budget and can spend $1,000 or so on a laptop, the Acer Predator Helios 300 laptop is your best bet. It packs a number of hefty features that should meet all your gaming requirements.
In terms of processing power, it comes with a 4.5 GHz Intel Core i7 processor. Its GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Graphics is top of the line. And the widescreen LED screen is backlit with 144Hz refresh rate.
One cool aspect is the Predator Helios 300 uses Intel Optimus to optimize energy usage. The program dynamically switches between the Intel GPU and the GTX-1660 Ti depending on the programs you’re running.
The Predator Helios 300’s cooling system is one of the best among gaming laptops. You can clearly see the heatsink fans and fins through the number of ventilation slits, and even with heavy usage you likely won’t break above 45 C. Warning, the fans can get loud though.
Overall, this laptop is an excellent gaming laptop for around $1000. You’ll be able to run any recent game at Max to Ultra with good frame rates.

The Dell G3 15 3579 is another budget laptop that works great for both gaming and work. For those who prefer to go with a trusted brand, this laptop is highly suggested.
Given its budget nature, it has a slightly older 8th Generation (instead of 9th Gen) Intel Core i5-8300H processor. That said, along with the GeForce GTX 1060 GPU and 8GB of RAM, the specs are still good enough to run most modern games, including Code Vein.
The screen has a 60 Hz refresh rate, which is standard among the gaming laptops under $1000. It also comes with a nice RGB keyboard for that added gaming feel. Its hard drive contains 256 GB of space – nothing to write home about, but not bad either.
One of the better features of the Dell G3 laptop is its cooling system. Its fans are quite strong and there are many ventilation spots. Definitely something you want in a gaming laptop. That said, since the fans do push quite a bit of air they can get a bit loud. So you may want to put in some headphones while gaming if that bothers you.
At 8lbs, the laptop is also quite heavy compared to the others listed that are around 5lbs.
- 8th Generation Intel Core i5-8300H Processor (Quad-Core, 8MB Cache, up to 3. 9GHz w/ Turbo...
- 8GB, DDR4, 256GB M. 2 PCIe NVMe Solid State Drive
If the other laptops listed here are out of your budget but you still really want a solid gaming laptop to run Code Vein, the ASUS Ryzen 5 should be perfect for your needs.
While its specs aren’t as top-tier as the Zephyrus or Strix III, for example, they are still sufficient to run Code Vein.
The laptop features a 3.7 GHz Ryzen 4-core processor and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 GPU. You can customize the RAM to go up to 32GB and the hard drive space to go up to 512 GB SSD, which I highly recommend doing. No one has ever complained about too much RAM or disk space.
The screen resolution maxes out at 7680×4320 at 60 Hz refresh rate. The refresh rate obviously isn’t as high as the higher end laptops, but 60 Hz is still plenty to run Code Vein and other games on high settings.
All in all, for its price of under $800, the ASUS Ryzen 5 is just an excellent budget gaming laptop and well worth the money.
