10. Final Fantasy VII Remake

Doom Eternal is a first-person shooter that is being developed by id Software and published once again by Bethesda Softworks. 7. Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Both children and children at heart will be very excited for the next video game in this list. Dating back to 2001, the Animal Crossing franchise has always captivated the hearts of its players with its cute characters and interesting game mechanics.
The fifth installment of the series is Animal Crossing: New Horizons developed and published by Nintendo which is set to be released on March 20th this year for the Nintendo Switch video game console. 5. Half Life: Alyx
This next title is something that fans have been anticipating for ages. For years, gamers have been asking Valve to produce a third installment of the Half Life franchise. They kind of get their wish with Half Life: Alyx. While this game isn’t technically Half Life 3, it’s still new content for the beloved series. And as a first-person shooter on VR, to boot.
This new installment of the Half-Life franchise is set to take place between the events of the first and the second games. The player controls Alyx Vance as she and her father Eli fight through a series of levels to eventually occupy the alien Combine.
Half-Life: Alyx is being developed and published by Valve Corporation. The game runs on Valve’s new Source 2 engine which by itself is promising for the game. The game is scheduled to be released on Windows in March 2020.
4. The Last of Us Part II
Another highly-anticipated title, one that has been requested for many years now, is The Last of Us Part II. Following the massive success that was The Last of Us, this sequel follows the story of Ellie, a 19-year-old girl now alone as she traverses a post-apocalyptic United States.
The Last of Us Part II is an action-adventure game that is being developed by Naughty Dog and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. With the addition of new gameplay mechanics and modern graphics, this game is expected to be a hit by critics and players alike.
The Last of Us Part II is set to be released for the PlayStation 4 on May 29th this year.
3. Marvel’s Avengers
Don’t think 2020 is just a year of remakes, as there are plenty of fresh video games coming out as well. One of these is the upcoming Avengers video game based on the Marvel Universe.
Avengers is an action-based adventure game being developed by Crystal Dynamics and Eldos Montreal and published by Square Enix. 2. Minecraft Dungeons
During the 2019 Minecon Live convention, gamers learned there would be a brand new game in the Minecraft universe called Minecraft Dungeons. The franchise is so iconic that this new game is expected to do very well in the market.
A dungeon crawler type game that is set in the universe of Minecraft, this game will be fairly different from the original game. There won’t be any crafting, building, or destroying of blocks. Instead, players will use weapons and magic to fight swarms of enemies and progress to new levels in a dungeon crawler fashion.

The final game on this list of highly-anticipated video games in 2020 is League of Legends: Wild Rift. The game is essentially an abridged version of the popular PC game, but playable on mobile and consoles.
